The job
A job at a given stage has one thing that can be done to it, so the job decides the screen rather than you. Scan by QR or RFID, or tick it off by hand when the label has gone.
Truck board
Runs out and back, your trucks and hired-in ones side by side. The driver gets a note with a code on it: one scan logs the delivery, another logs the truck home and opens the check-in.

The shortage tells you the moment it exists, over the dates that matter, and offers every way out from where you are standing — including taking it off the job.
Money
Rate cards by hire length and revisions that supersede cleanly. Send it as a link, the customer accepts or asks for changes, and an accepted quote moves the job straight to the next stage.
Servicing
Report a fault from the scan bench. Fix it on your own bench or send it out, track what was promised back, record the cost, and recover it from the customer who broke it.
